What You'll Learn
This training covers everything from the wider emergency framework to the crucial day-to-day operations of a Rest Centre.
- Your Role and Environment: Learn where a Rest Centre fits into the overall response and get an overview of a typical centre's layout and chain of command.
- Key Operational Duties: We'll cover core tasks such as reception and registration, welfare and needs assessment, and information and communication. You'll also learn the essential logistics of maintaining a safe environment.
- Safeguarding and Well-being: We'll show you how to identify and report concerns, ensure your personal safety, and look after yourself during a crisis.
- Practical Scenario: Put your new skills to the test in a hands-on role-playing exercise followed by a debriefing session.
