2024 LRF Strategic and Tactical Commanders event developing our partnership working

Lincolnshire Resilience Forum hosted the 2024 Strategic and Tactical Commanders CPD event at Bishop Grosseteste University on the 11th March .

During the event, we were very fortunate to be joined by several guest speakers who shared their knowledge, expertise and experience. In particular, two key note speakers, Professor Sir Jonathan Van Tam, the former Deputy Chief Medical Officer for England, who was part of the expert advisory group for the UK Government’s Vaccine Taskforce during the Covid-19 response and Figen Murray, the mother of Martyn Hett, one of the 22 people who tragically lost their lives in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack. Figen is the force behind Martyn’s Law, a legislation which will require venues with a capacity of 100+ to improve security against the threat of terrorism.

The continued professional development of LRF commanders, is key to ensuring that we respond quickly and effectively to emergencies that affect the communities of Lincolnshire.
