Launch of Self-Generating Community Emergency Plan
Lincolnshire County Council’s Emergency Planning & Business Continuity Service is excited to announce the launch of a ground-breaking new tool designed to empower communities to create their own emergency plans. This innovative system simplifies the complex process of developing a comprehensive emergency plan, making it accessible to communities of all sizes.
By answering a series of straightforward questions, community members can generate a tailored emergency plan that addresses their specific needs and vulnerabilities. The user-friendly online form, accessible on the Lincolnshire Resilience Forum website, guides users through the process, ensuring a clear and efficient plan creation.
Once submitted, the system generates a draft plan, which is then sent to the community for review and customization. A copy of the plan is also securely stored at the County Emergency Centre, allowing for future development and rapid response in the event of an emergency.
“We believe that every community should have the tools to prepare for emergencies,” said Steve Eason-Harris, Emergency Planning & Business Continuity Officer and lead for community resilience at Lincolnshire County Council. “This new system is a significant step forward in empowering communities to take control of their own safety and resilience.”
To ensure a successful implementation, LCC Emergency Planning is committed to providing ongoing support to communities throughout the plan’s lifecycle. The team is available to assist with any questions or concerns and offer guidance on how to effectively use the generated plan. To access the system visit https://forms.office.com/e/hnZ8ZA8Trv
