Our collective work is focussed on saving lives, relieving suffering, protecting property, preventing further damage to the environment and preventing the impacts of a disaster getting worse to restore normality as quickly as possible.
Prepare, respond and recover
Local Resilience Forums (also known as LRFs) are activated to assist in responding to large-scale emergencies when a combined multi-agency coordination would result in a more effective and efficient outcome. Any one of the partner agencies can also activate the LRF when there is a requirement for additional capacity beyond their own resources.
LRF partners share responsibility to continually develop Lincolnshire’s resilience in the face of large-scale emergency situations, with guidance and support from lead government departments and agencies, local authorities, emergency services, health, utilities providers and communication providers and transport companies.

Severe hot weather can include heatwaves and drought.
Last year, a new record-high temperature for the UK of 40.3ºC was recorded in Coningsby in Lincolnshire on the 19th July 2022.

A scheduled test of the Ready for Anything emergency notification system will take place on Wednesday January 28th, 2026. Please Note: This is a system test to ensure our equipment is functioning correctly and our volunteer database is up to date. There will be no request to deploy.
